COVID-19 Property Marketing Plan back


4th January - The Property Market Remains Open

Following from Boris Johnson’s announcement on the 4th January we continue to ensure the safety of our team, clients and customers by following strict COVID guidelines and we will continue to do so. Those of you that have had face to face interaction with KEA since June last year will know that we have taken our responsibility very seriously.

All parties involved in a physical appointment will be asked to complete a simple health assessment to ensure the safety of you, our team and our clients. We will ask our clients, where in occupancy, to prepare the property by opening the windows to allow air flow, clean down door handles and surfaces prior and after the appointment. We ask that a maximum of 2 people attend the viewing. Our teams will have hand sanitiser which we ask you to use prior to entering the property and again when leaving the property. We ask you to wear a face mask, gloves and over shoes during the appointment, we will supply these if you do not have them available to you.

Government Guidance:

“Estate and letting agents and removals firms can continue to work. If you are looking to move, you can go to property viewings,” the guidance says.

“People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary.”

“Follow the national guidance on moving home safely, which includes advice on social distancing and wearing a face covering.”

Following government guidelines released on the 13th May 2020 and reconfirmed on the 4th January 2021 we can conduct controlled valuation appointments, we ask that you open windows to allow air flow 60 minutes prior to the appointment, maintain social distancing at all times and we ask that you complete a simple online assessment as will our valuers prior to the appointment. The valuer will be wearing gloves, over shoe covers and a face mask to ensure everyone’s safety.

Home & Branch Working:

The KEA team are able to continue to provide you with the same excellent customer service you have grown to expect from us over the last 55 years, using a combination of our in-branch teams and our home working teams, all using our systems. All of our team have secure access to our Customer Relationship Management System Pro-Agent linked to our phone network, so you can phone us on our normal telephone numbers and we will be ready to answer your call and any questions you may have. To comply with guidelines any meetings in the office need to be by appointment.

We have installed hand sanitiser dispensers at each branch and we ask that you use these when entering the office. There is barrier tape which defines your personal space, there are foot print marks on the floor, which show the direction of traffic, complying with these measures ensures social distancing is maintained, we have Perspex screens installed on each meeting desk for additional safety.

The KEA Preferred Solicitor Panel is streamlining the conveyancing process using an online Property Information data room sponsored by KEA, enabling all parties involved to work together to meet the challenges both in the short term and as we move forward. FREE Home Videoing Advice

See our free videoing advice for home owners, this will give you guidance on how to stay safe and at home, but still move forward with the marketing of your property by recording your own video to pass to your estate agent to edit and prepare for sending to their potential buyers. We are allowed to attend your property to make the video if you require help in doing so, we ask that you open windows 60 minutes prior to the appointment, leave doors open and clean down any surfaces, our team will attend wearing gloves, over shoe coverings and a face mask for everyone’s safety. We will require a simple online assessment to be completed by all parties prior to the appointment taking place.

• We have a regular deep clean in each office and surfaces and door handles are sanitised a number of times a day.


• We ask for an online assessment to be completed prior to any face to face meetings.


• We have installed perspex screens on our meeting desks in branch


• We ask that you maintain social distancing while in our branches and on appointments


• We are following government guidelines and constantly monitoring any changes.
